Chippewa Cree Medical Center

Faced with unforeseen challenges due to the previous contractor’s actions, the Chippewa Cree Tribal Council enlisted Community Contractors to complete their vital Medical Center. Through collaborative negotiations with the Tribe and the Architect, CCI established a contract to finalize the 91,338 square-foot, single-story healthcare facility. This complex houses 25 diverse departments designed with minimal corridors for efficient flow. Community Contractors directly oversaw and executed critical interior elements, including all ceilings, flooring, doors, hardware, signage, fire protection systems, and finish carpentry. Recognizing the Tribe’s leadership role in the project, CCI’s experienced Project Manager and Superintendent actively provided their expertise in scheduling and coordinating the work of all involved parties, ensuring the successful completion of this essential community resource.
